Roger Federer’s 3 exhibition match series in South America this December will jumpstart on December 6 to 9 with Gillette Federer tour in Brazil! This will be Roger Federer’s first trip to South America.
As Brazil will be the next big thing in the world of sports in the next couple of years, particularly in 2016 as the Summer Olympics host country, Roger Federer eyes on this tour as he heads to Sao Paulo, Brazil for the 1st time.
Famous WTA and ATP players have signed up for this event including Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Thomaz Bellucci, Tommy Robredo, Bob and Mike Bryan, Bruno Soares, Marcelo Melo, Victoria Azarenka, Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams and Caroline Wozniacki.
David Ferrer was replaced by Tommy Haas as Ferrer had suffered a back injury after he returns to training after the recently ended Davis Cup final.
“Unfortunately, when I returned to training after the title in Valencia and Paris have played the Masters in London and the Davis Cup final, I had a back injury that will preclude me from participating in the Gillette Federer Tour,” said Ferrer.
Roger Federer and Tommy Haas are very good friends and an exhibition match between these two guys will definitely be a blast! Tommy Haas beat Roger Federer in the finals of this year’s Gerry Webber Open in Halle, Germany so we’ll definitely see a good rematch!
